Pacific Crest Trail Map

So this is the first entry. In the following days to come, all you who will journey with me along this far and indomitable trail, will be apart of something special. This will be my hardest task to date. I have never attempted anything as grand and as adventurous, as the great Pacific Crest Trail. From Mexico to Canada, I will hike alone through the West and up to the great North along the dry and hot deserts, and up through the high and snowy mountains, and then through the thick and wet Northern Pacific.

Travel with me my friends and family, and I will be your guide through the human soul, and the vast expanse of the Western United States. A journey for my mother, who fights breast cancer, a journey for everyone who needs inspiration in dark times, or for the benign days of the daily grind of everyday life. Check on my journal and together we can share my self-discovery of not only the great West and the PCT, but of a man who is so bored with life, that he has decided to walk 2,650 miles to "burn the fat of my soul." -Hemingway.

A journey for Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo,NY; A place who has helped so many people with their determination to abolish a disease that affects everyone in one form or another, and to ease the pain that families have to endure, but MOST of all the people of Roswell give us hope...

I start the trail Sunday April 13th. Some people think the number 13 is unlucky, but I do not believe in luck, only the Will of God. He has created both the beginning and end of time, so He is the maker, and and luck is a world of chaos, and I live in a world of order; So the number 13 is not unlucky it just is... I leave my fate in the my ingenuity and in the hands of Christ.

To all my peeps who know my personally, I am the "Magic Muslim," who won the great Stanley Rock 16 years ago in front of Patterson's house, thanks to EVERYONE who has been my friend and given me the support and praise to attempt this great journey. THANK YOU.

And to my Mom, who has shown me that even the strongest people need a ray of hope in their darkest hour, I hope I can be that light for her. I love you Mom.
