Hi Folks! I'm Stephan. For now I'm just sorting out how to use P'holer, this is my first online journal, so bear with me (or not, as you please).
Plan for this summer is the Idaho Centennial trail. If all goes well, when I finish up (in mid-July) I will head to Glacier NP and start the Pacific NW trail. I'll set up another journal for that later. As for now I just want to make sure I have this 'down' before I leave....so many little things!
More about me later, here are some photos for fun, though.
The Idaho Centennial Trail is an 890 mile trail from the Nevada border to Canada. Created by Syd Tate and Roger Williams, a 'lasting legacy' trail was dedicated on Idaho's Centennial in 1990. This is a multi-use trail and has official alternates around protected areas. It passes through 2 of the 3 largest wilderness areas in the lower 48. A 450 mile stretch with only one paved road crossing, hot springs, Wild and Scenic Rivers, old-growth cedars and a whole lot of quiet are only some of the highlights of this trail.
