Mt. Shasta has the only growing glaciers in the continental U.S. The increased ocean temps result in increased mositure, which ends up as snow on the flanks of Shasta.

Great article.....makes ya wonder....global warming? Or the next ice age?

Yeah, it really does make ya wonder- but in all reality, our current temps and climate is not out of the range of the past "norms", although people keep freaking out over it. We have had temps this warm in the past. In fact if you do some research, you will find that in England, there were grapes and such crops grown into the northern regions about 400+ years ago. It wasn't too long after that, that they went through their "Little Ice Age", and things reversed themselves. Climate variations are, and always will be, normal on our world. :D
