spot tracker

"Mobi" is designed for those folks who will be updating their journals from the trail. It's also a great place to get 7-day plain text weather forecasts. Tell us how it's working for you.

I want to invest in a Spot Tracker for the Colorado trail and I was wondering if there was a way to upload my coordinates to this site so that My friends and Family can track my progress to make rendezvous easier

You bet! Every time you press the OK button on your spot, your location is saved and marked on your journal google map, the Colorado Trail trace will also be visible as an obvious blue line. From the time you press the button on your spot it takes less than a minute to update your information on the journal google map.

Just set up your journal:

...then set up your spot:

Here's an example of a CDT hiker from last year:

Click on the "Continental Divide Trail Map" link or the "Last Spot Location" link in the yellow info box.

Also, clicking on the yellow and red spot icon on the map will automatically show your journal entry for that date, if you have an entry for that date.

Hope that helps,
