1 month on the PCT

Postby cornestache » Fri Apr 06, 2018 7:37 am

Hi everyone,
i am new to this forum.

I have been thinking of doing a 1 month stretch on the PCT.

i was wondering if you had any suggestions on which part of the PCT is interesting for a 1 month hike.
i read that the northern california part is great, but that apparently most thru hikers don't really like it because of all the ups and downs.

i like remote locations with less people and don't mind hitching a ride to get there if need be.

i am used to backpacking/trekking, but my average speed around 15miles a day, with usually 1000m (3300ft) climbs, more as i get use to it.
I trekked in peru, yosemite, nepal and back home in the adirondacks.

let me know if you have any suggestions or if there a similar posts on this forum.

I don't know about the specifics, but you should be able to explore a lot in 1 month. I'm jealous! I always wanted to do something like that. Best of luck, Cornestache! Post some of your experiences, please.
