Cumbres & Toltec Historic Railroad (for CDT resupply)

Here's the spot for all of you aspiring CDT enthusiasts. You're a tough breed, hiking one of the most untamed trails in the country.

Cumbres & Toltec Historic Railroad (for CDT resupply)

This is a cross-post from CDT-L
Cumbres & Toltec Historic Railroad is a steam-powered sightseeing train that crosses the CDT at Cumbres Pass, Colorado. I checked it out online, and confirmed via email that you can ride between Cumbres Pass and Chama, NM (only). This would be a fun and interesting alternative to hitching for resupply in Chama, NM.

Schedule and booking info:
Cumbres Pass to Chama: 2:45 pm Monday - Saturday (runs on Sunday but 2013 schedule not finalized yet). Cost is $25 +5% historic fee, reservation required.
Chama to Cumbres Pass: Leaves Chama 10 am daily, separate fare with reservation required.

May 25th through October 20th

I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I'm passing it along for other CDTers. It's a nice change of pace from hitching. I'll definitely be riding the train at Chama!
