Connecticut in a day

Postby p-fitz » Tue Jun 29, 2010 7:23 am

Hey everyone, just wanted to brag a little bit about hiking all 54 miles of the Appalachian Trail in Connecticut in under 24 hours this weeked. My brother Steve (a.k.a. "Stilts," PCT 08: http://postholer.com/journal/viewJourna ... nt_id=239; CDT 09 http://postholer.com/journal/viewJourna ... 0e32f595ef) and I started at the MA/CT border and hiked south to the CT/NY border. We made it in 22 and a half hours, with some help from our Dad, who met us at road crossings with food and water. The hike was a lot of fun. Anyone know if this has ever been done before?

Yep, it's known as the Connecticut Challenge. I haven't found any exact numbers but there are hikers who have completed it.
