Section E Project needs Volunteers - March 23-25

Late Wednesday evening, there was a post on the PCT-L calling for additional volunteers to support this project in Section E (Near Hikertown) from March 23-25. As is typical, no experience is required and all tools and PPE (hardhats) are provided. The Trail Gorillas would love to have you come and join them.

See the message at:

Per the project notification, for those staying multiple days, everyone will be staying at "Hikertown" on Highway 138 in the western part of the Antelope Valley.

It looks like it'll be brushing and tread work - come on out So Cal folks and stay the weekend! This spot isn't far from the millions who live in the LA area. If you're thinking of doing a thru hike anytime in the next few years, here's a chance to engage in some "self help" since the work you do will still be evident when you hike through the area.

Bump. Get on out on the trail early in the season and get things prepped for the thru hikers who will be passing this area in only a couple months.
