gription on snow

Postby barbecue » Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:33 am

yeh, I know...gription is not a word....I'm looking for more guidance and reviews on lite weight, easy don crampon type devices...I'm hitting the trail in approx 2 weeks and I have no knowledge or experience with these things. So share some knowledge and experience....the good, the bad and the ugly. thanx
p.s. Im in the market so I'll respond to sellers too.

kahtoolah microspikes

similar to those Hillman trail crampons are the Kahtoolah microspikes- a litttle better price and weight-wise. I'd love to make my own, but no time.

Keeping an eye on Spitfire's journal since he's out there now (nuts) and other journals from last year with my start date- Fuller may way well be icy- send your spikes to Idyllwild. That's my 2 cents. Send em on once you clear it.
