Day 190 - Into Baxter

I walked into Baxter State Park perplexed on how I actually go there. Did I really walk here, I thought to myself. Had I actually covered each step, my foot touching every bit of earth from Georgia's red warm clay to Maine's pine needle covered soil? Had these short but now very strong legs really carried me and everything I needed to survive in the wilderness for 6 plus months? Although the answers are all yes, it hasn't quite sunk in yet. What I thought would feel like great pride and conquer are humbled by a emotional silence.

I am currently trying to debrief myself as I wait for my family and friends to arrive. Only 5.2 miles left of my thru-hike, only my climb up Katahdin. We will summit this Sunday. Ahh!
