Hiking into monson

Stayed at a leanto last night that I can't Remember the name of with lucky, fool, and a girl with dreads whose name I also can't remember .. I started the day at 4.30 with a pack of easy Mac and 1 pack of instant oatmeal so I knew I'd be starving all day and I was right. I ate the easy Mac for breakfast and set out at 5.20 with lucky and fool. I split up with them around 1 mile In at a river we had to ford. About 5 miles In I reached a shelter that vesuvio, beardo, and sweet pea stayed at the night before and they were just heading out . They gained some distance on me throughout the day.. They are all a lot faster than me. A little after leaving that shelter I burned through that easy Mac and got super hungry. I was starving for the next 6 miles to the next leanto and all I could think about was sitting down and peanut butter. The gods were looking out for me and there was a nice jar of peanut butter waiting for me at the shelter that someone left. I finished it off, ate my oatmeal, got some water, and set off on the last 3 miles to the road to monson. The trail was mostly flat which made for a nice walk. When I got to the road luckily beardo and sweet pea met some older woman an were hitching a ride from them .. They offered to give me a ride in to monson too so I jumped I'n the back of the truck. We got to shaws hiker hostel a few minutes later. I got my stuff up to my room and drank the best tasting coke I've ever had. Chilled out for a few hours then hit up the barbecue restaurant and drank their whole pot of coffee, it was awesome .. I'll be staying here all day tomorrow and head out on the 3rd .. The next town will be Stratton after a few days of hard climbs and decents.. I should get my new sleeping bag and pack there so my pack weight shoould drop a bit .. Hauling that 35 pound pack up those mountains is kicking my ass ...
