Out of Hiawassee

Tried to take it easy today with only 4.5 miles. Set up the hammock and napped a bit.

Tomorrow I'll cross into NC. Supposedly it's flatter. I'm not holding my breath.

Warm enough so I'll try not using my underquilt. With this setup, I've got my short pad under my torso, and some Reflectix for my legs. Also not setting up my tarp. The forecast made it seem like this should be okay, so we'll see how my luck holds up.

Hitched for the first time today. It only took about 20 minutes and countless cars.

Looking at my guide, the next shelter is 7.3 miles away, with the next being 4.9 from there. I'll try to make an early start and see how I feel when I make it to the first. Part of me wants to be far away from GA.

I'll also fill in the missing updates sometime, but that may not be until my next town stop in Franklin, NC.
