A creek!

Hey, I'm William. For about 13ish years, I've been wanting to hike the whole Appalachian Trail. It started when I was on my first overnight camping trip with my scout troop on the AT. We've been planning it for close to a year, and by planning I mean that we've been talking about all of the crazy stuff we're going to do (but we most likely won't). Here we are (more exactly here I am) sitting in my parents' living room surrounded by boxes of my stuff that I just moved out of my apartment, and I am at a loss for what to say about actually going on the trail. 13 years in hopes, 2 years in talks, with about 6 months of practice hikes.

It's been quite the journey, and it hasn't even begun yet.

Appalachian Trail - 2014

The Appalachian Trail (A.T.) is more than 2,175-mile long footpath stretching through 14 eastern states from Maine to Georgia. Conceived in 1921 and first completed in 1937, it traverses the wild, scenic, wooded, pastoral, and culturally significant lands of the Appalachian Mountains. Learn more:
