Long overdue

Ok. Ok. I know it has been quite a while since I posted here and I am now safe at home but I figured that it was about time that I finished this journal thing. The last week on the trail Rambler and I really just put our heads down and hiked really hard. From sun up to, most times, well past sun down. There really wasn't much time to write in my little blog here. I apologize for that and for putting it off for so long. I think deep down that I felt like that if I finished this journal my trip is really over and I guess I just wasn't ready for it to end yet.
Alright from the best of my recollection (it has been awhile!) Rambler and I woke up at 5:15, our usual time on this leg, and quickly broke camp and hit the trail nice and early. to be honest I cant rightly remember the exact mileage that we did during this last week but I do know that most days were right near twenty and we even managed to pull off another marathon (26.2). I guess I'm just going to hit the highlights, that's what really sticks with me now anyways.
We stayed at a hostel in Monson where for the low price of $ 25 dollars we could get a 5 gal bucket to fill with food and the proprietor will drop it off about halfway into the 100 mile wilderness. you all know how much I hate carrying excess food weight so the question of whether or not we should use this service was pretty much clinched. Unfortunately it was somewhere during this day that I realized that I put more food in the bucket than I did into my pack so I was starting to have very real concerns about going a little hungry until we got to to drop off location! Nothing to do about it way out here in the middle of nowhere though, just hike faster! lol.
