Journal Entry

Better start today, 10:45am.i just can't get motivated to pack damp stuff. If I wait until the fog burns off it dries pretty quickly.

Today I climbed over Tray Mountain. Had a nice view off one side, and rain approaching on the other. On the way down it started pouring. I didn't suit up in my rain jacket because my shirt was already soaked with sweat. Bad idea. It poured for about an hour and I had to keep moving at a pretty good pace to stay warm. I was drenched. But when it stopped and the sun came out I dried out pretty good.

Now in camp it's been raining off and on for a few hours. I'm waiting for a break to run and hang my food.

Tomorrow is 5.5 miles to Dicks Creek Gap and town. I'm undecided on what I'm going to do. I need a small resupply to get me until Monday when I get to Franklin, NC. I need to recharge my phone. There is a hostel at the Gap that I might stay at, or at least resupply and recharge. I'll probably decide when I get there.
