Arizona Trail Map

The end

The hike out of the Grand Canyon was just as amazing as the hike in, except slower. I woke up at dawn as usual. No turkeys today, only some birds and mules. In the night angry hisses woke me up, unsure of whether they were from an owl or a mountain lion.

I started walking, delighted at my buoyant pack weight and walked up a trail as amazing as when I went in. My only disappointment being that Rainbow Falls' pool was occupied and unavailable for swimming. Walking out to the North Rim was like walking back to winter. My leg/cankle was in a lot of pain once I reached the top, but it was worth it.
