HomeStretch and I have been preparing for hiking the AZT and the PCT for the past year. We've been dehydrating food and saving money and collecting gear. It got a bit chaotic at times, getting home from work, eating dinner, and then processing food for the dehydrator late into the night. The preparation has been slowly building into this fevered pitch that found us finishing the resupply boxes, moving out of our house and driving down to Baltimore with our cat in the past few days. The stage is finally set for hiking.

We start out on the Arizona Trail next Wednesday (March 2nd), when we fly into Tucson and the catch a ride from a very generous trail angel down to the trail head. We can't wait until all we have to do is hike.
