Long Travel Day
The day started when the alarm went off at 5 am. We both took showers because it might be awhile before our next. We said our sad goodbyes to our fat cat, Bodhi (aka Fatty Gato, aka Hippo 1), and got to BWI with the help of Papa Home Stretch.Flying across the country was unremarkable and long. In Tucson, trail angel Steve picked us up from the airport and drove us straight to the trail. He's an incredibly nice guy and he entertained us with stories of the AZT as we drove. Thanks, Steve!
14 hours after we started traveling, we found ourselves at Montezuma Pass with the sun going down. We walked not even a mile down the hill and cowboy camped.
Tomorrow we start for real.
