Done!
It was hard to keep from tripping while descending the final switchbacks with the amazing Vermillion Cliffs and Coyote Canyon in front of us. The many flowers on the mountainside were incredible as the elevation changed. We stopped to take so many photos that it seemed like a long hike. There was total cloud cover to keep us cool and allow the color variations in the cliffs to really stand out. We saw snake #7 on the side of the trail and it was a different species than we had seen on the trip. There were a few campers at the BLM Stateline campground at the end but no one at the trailhead when we quietly finished. We sat at a shaded picnic table and only waited about a 1/2 hour for Alicia's parents to arrive. The sun came out just as we got there bringing the temperature up. Seems like we were just resupplying again. It won't sink in that we're really done until we get home and settled. We will post a follow up with some info that may help others planning a hike once we're back home.
