Woke up to a heavy frost covering everything. Water bottles were frozen. It warmed up pretty quickly as the morning progressed. The whole of this
section was just very nice. Pine and Aspen forest with occasional meadows thrown in for variety.
There was also a very nice spring which seems way too unusual for this trail. There aren't very many springs.
I hiked a little longer than I wanted to tonight and am pretty tired. As I got into passage 41 it was burned forest
so I figured I walk past the burned section and camp. Well after well over an hour, more like two, I am camping in the burned section. This was a
very big fire, probably the longest one I've walked through and I've walked through a lot of burns. The devistation of this fire was complete - nothing but burned sticks
left. After a while hiking through this becomes a little depressing. I did see a few deer here - they were easy to spot as there was no tree cover.
