Mormon Lake departure
Nice walk along the trail as it was available to us. We met a young ranger who concurred with our decision to use a border FS road between off limit and allowed hiking venues.Much of the trail parallels Lake Mary Road. After climbing Anderson Mesa and we gained a nice view of Upper Mary Lake.
Our ability to use the trail is terminated at Marshall Lake TH, so we head down the Lowell Observatory Road to wait for Lon on Lake Mary Road. We were subsequently able to locate a camp site suitable for all three of us.
