I slept peacefully and as I moved along the trail the next morning, I was greeted by another policeman driving up the trail. He said, "Are you Ladybug." "Yes officer, did we meet last night?" "No, but the other officers told me about you and I am so excited to have met you." "I cannot wait to tell them," he said with great pride. We chatted for awhile and he wished me good luck along my journey. It was during this leg of my journey that I visited my birthplace with my cousin. I knocked on the door of the house in which I lived until second grade. Tim answered the door and invited us inside. This was the The House That Built Me...:)
"I thought if I could touch this place or feel it
this brokenness inside me might start healing.
Out here its like I'm someone else,
I thought that maybe I could find myself
if I could just come in I swear I'll leave.
Won't take nothing but a memory
from the house that built me." ~ Miranda Lambert
My cousin and I then visited my gradeschool and church.
This was a day so special to me. I was fueled by emotion during my stay at my cousin's house and our breakfast at The Spot, a restaurant that has stood the test of time.
Ohio, As Seen Through The Eyes Of Ladybug
" Second only to the love of my family, I am most content when I am alone in the wilderness."
