Glacier
Got back to East Glacier today after walking through falling snow with 60mph winds to get here. Up until last night the weather has been very accomodating, and Glacier is spectacular. I'll have to come back later, but were walking out of the park tomorrow. Saw a big grizzly yesterday - it was a very peaceful encounter, but made me glad to be carrying bear spray. Lots of wildlife - bald eagles, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, martens, rodents of all kinds, plus a few trout I caught on the second day out. I've fallen in with a great crew of 10 or so hikers, so it's been a much more social trail than I was expecting, which has been really nice. I've spent the last week hiking with Chance, Freefall, Luna, Aaron, and So Far, most of whom know each other from the PCT in 2003. Anyway, things are going great. Time for bed, but I should post again in something over a week.
