Packing

For me, packing always becomes a time crunch. The process actually started a few days ago but was hampered. The New Hampshire Music Festival is performing weekly in the theatre where I am the technical director. A rescent graduate and I spent the better parts of 3 days installing accoustical shells, hanging & focusing light and readying the facility.

The opening concert for the season was Friday night, then my focus could move to the trail. My housekeeping leaves much to be desired. Therefore, in order to have the space to pack and to find everythig, inevetabky, the house needs to be put to rights. This tends to be an overwhelming task but it got done.

Additionally there are the gear repairs and modifications, the new aquisitions, stopping utilities, car insurance & mail. Then the PEEK service needs to resurected.

It always seems to culminate in an all-nighter leading up to the flight. (heavy sigh). This time was no different but perhaps a bit less frantic. The good that came of it all includes:
The tent floor got coated with silicone to seal up all the tiny pinprick koles frm campin on pointy stuff.
I made a new 2mil ground cloth and a 2nd for the bounce box.
I m.ade a nice new pair of gaiters.
My hat brim now has nylon boning instead of metal wire to keep it from floping.
And there are a bunch of other fix ups.

And so the adventure begins. I can't wait!
