Typical Food for a Day

Food Prep

My hiking plan is based on using all mail drops rather than buying food along the way. I made that decision partly because I didn't want the hassle of 'shopping' along the trail but also because I wanted more control over what I was eating. Additionally I decided to make it all myself, which turned out to be a far bigger task than I imagined. But it is all done. I ended up with vacuum sealed daily food packs of my own making and 28 pre-packed boxes destined for waypoints along the trail. Thank goodness for logistics support provided by Skippy (my dear sister) who'll be mailing the boxes and providing resupply support along the way.
