Continental Divide Trail Map

Bad Knees Taking a Bad Turn

After taking six zeros in Darby for waiting for Scott's credit card and for my knees to heal up we flipped up to Glacier to head southbound. We hiked ten miles from two medicine back to East Glacier to see if I was ready for the rest of the expedition, it turns out that I really wasn't. Having to force myself up the mountain with my new trekking poles and having to wear these uncomfortable knee braces, I wasn't ready to continue on. So I had to book a flight to Manchester so I wouldn't hurt myself too much for the beginning of school and soccer season. It was an incredible journey for the last 25 days, and we still pulled of about 250-300 miles, and that makes me feel like I still came off the trail with great experiences and I would deffinetly go back if I had the oppourtunity. For next year, I have been thinking about hiking the Long Trail, then hike north on a portion of the Appalachian Trail to the White Mountains. Happy Trails to you all.
