Cold feet on him, too.
CDT trail, finally!
A couple hours into the day, I finally reached the split where the Colorado and Continental Divide trail split. For once, the sun was out and while not really warm, it was nice to see blue sky for once. I had a great hike up and over the Hunchback then hiked back down through the next valley through a really overgrown path. Willows grew up and over my head and blocked all the views through the valley. The next valley was more open, but the trail was still overgrown. I passed Twin Lakes (baby geese!) and Ute Lake, and finally reached a camp in a small pass below Window Rock. There were several weird rocky circles, about sixty feet in diameter, not too far below the pass - not sure if they're just strange natural formations, some sort of fossilized plant formations, or an early human construction. Someone with more knowledge than I have needs to go check them out.
