here we go
never expected this! but a wise man (my father) once said, "never expect anything and you'll never be disappointed". First time I've hitched! and I had an artist on my team! looking green with my brand new clean gear. so glad I was entertaining Jason "shadow" Evans. The fun and games quickly came to a hault as I followed Shadow up what I thought was a really big hill. Out of breath, feet already burning and falling behind quickly! my first lesson in humility (for the day). I had no idea what to expect. Being a former Marine Corps grunt (infantry) I talked a big game leading up to this point. Second lesson in humility for the day. The thoughts going through my mind are less than positive at this point. What am I doing? How did I get here? Is it time to eat yet? yep, my fancy gear wasn't so "cool" anymore and neither where the "gadgets" I was told by my mentor to leave behind. Third lesson in humility for the day.
