Bypass of Leadville

Day started out bright and sunny. Both Ley and Bear Creek paper maps showed us going through Leadville but my downloaded Bear Creek Waypoints and Guthook showed new trail bypassing it. We saw a side trail heading into Leadville but stayed on mission. Late in the day it clouded up then suddenly started hailing. 1/4 inch hailstones which turned to a light afternoon thunderstorm before we stopped. Nice campsite near a stream but not too close. We got water from a pipe coming straight out of aquifer and didn't even have to filter it. I would have but trusted my experienced companions.
