Continental Divide Trail Map
Just playing the waiting game now. Based upon guidance from the CDTC I mailed in (with check) my request for the NM Land Recreation Access Permit and received it pretty fast.
On a side note I have also sent in and received back my PCT LD permit as well. I am still awaiting my Canadian Entry permit approval. I think that I mentioned in an earlier post that I will be completing the PCT this Aug/early Sep. Will have been a 5 section hike over 6 years. Would have completed it last year but had to have a couple of surgeries on my left leg.
Only thing left to do is to make a trip to Walmart to buy food for my drops and my initial supply.
As I'm bored I might as well mention my training program. During the winter months I take a spin class 3 times a week. I couple this with 2-3 days of playing pickleball and that is basically all I do. Starting in February I begin walking (will throw in a snowshoe trip now and again) a bit to toughen up my feet. My motivation is that I walk the Bataan Death March marathon every March.
I haven't been tracking the snow too much for northern NM. I am aware that levels are higher than average but there is a lot of time for this figure to change. The big snow months are still ahead for the Rockies.
Just playing the waiting game.
