Well today I got my permit in the mail for the John Muir Tail, This will be my 4th thou hike of the JMT. Last year I took my daughter for her first thou hike. This year I decided to hit the trail again solo.The snow is a concern for me this year because of all the snow that we had this year. But my first two hike of the JMT 1986 and 1996 there was allot of snow on the trail.There is something to be said in being out on the trial with your thoughts and at peace with the back country.I will taken a camcorder so I have a video record of my journey.
