AT zero number three!!

After a zero day in Daleville I had a good day of hiking and camped at Bobletts gap shelter. Rained all night. Got a late start, around 1030!! Still got a 20 and camped at Cornelius creek shelter. Crossed the blue ridge parkway a few times. Looks like a nice scenic road. The next day I climbed over thunder hill and crossed the James river. Camped at johns hollow shelter. Rained a bunch more. Nice hiking the next day. I almost made it to camp before the rain hit but managed to get soaked. Camped at cow camp gap shelter. After walking 2 miles in the morning I realized I forgot my sandals so I had to walk back to the shelter to get them. Had a nice sunny day finally! Was getting sick of the rain. Crossed the tye river and camped at harpers creek shelter. Made a nice fire. The next day was my favorite day so far on the AT! Great views and wonderful sunshine! Met a ton of cool people. Camped out at paul c Wolfe shelter. In the morning I did the 5 miles to rockfish gap and got a easy hitch into waynesboro. Got laundry done and ate at weazies diner. Got a free shower at the YMCA. While shopping at Kroger I ran into a hiker who said I could split a room with him. So I ended up staying the night in town. The next day I got a ride out of town around 11am and only went about seven miles to calf mountain shelter. Nice to finally be in the Shenandoah national park. Had a great time in the park once the rain stopped. Lots of people. Ate at a couple of the roadsides. Dint see any bears! Almost everyone else did. The next night pinefield hut. Passed bearfence hut the next day and camped at Hazletop with Dundee. Camped the next night at pass mountain hut. Had a nice fire. Had a nice last day in the park and camped just outside at Tom Floyd wayside. Got some resupply in the park so I skipped front royal and pushed to harpers ferry. Camped at dicks dome. The next day I camped at Blackburn trail center. Went into harpers ferry. Was cool to see the Potomac river! Ate some food and rolled out. Camped at Ed Garvey shelter. The following day I camped at pine knob shelter. The next day I went into waynesboro pa. Had a beer and a great sandwich at blondies bar. It was MoTowns first bar ever!! Resupplied at walmart and got a ride back to the trailhead from Prof. Oaks gf. Went about a mile and camped out along a creek. Camped at quarry gap shelter the next night. The next day I crossed the halfway point on the AT with MoTown and RedMan. Got a great picture of the three of us! At pinegrove furnace the store was closed so no half gallon ice cream challenge. But did check out the AT museum which was cool. Camped along a creek below tagg run shelter. Had a great fire! The next day i went through boiling springs pa. Cool little town with awesome fly fishing spots. Camped at darlington shelter. Did 11 miles in the morning into Duncannon pa. Camped for 3 bucks at the campground. Hung out around the Doyle. Watched a cool memorial day weekend parade. Was fun. Had a wonderful night hanging out with friends at tubbys club! Hiked out in the morning and camped at peters mountain shelter. Was buzzed by falcons crossing the Susquehanna river! Camped at William Penn shelter the following night. Got into port Clinton pa the following day. Resupplied at walmart and camped for free at the pavilion in town. Had great views and weather the next day. Pulpit rock and the pinnacle where awesome. Camped out at Allentown hiking club shelter. The next day got out early as I wanted to get into palmerton pa before tue rain hit. Had a pretty good fall just before town. Ate shit pretty hard on a downhill. Had a great lunch at a tavern in town. Thanks Tom and Jo for lunch. Staying at the borough hall. Taking a nice zero day here.
