Vermilion Cliffs
Too much butt time
Way too much time stuck in the truck driving today. We drove from just outside Valley of Fire State Park, NV to Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, AZ. The circuit took us through St. George and Kanab Utah (but not through Zion NP because of the crowds there). We stopped at the BLM office in both towns and the St George visitor center for info. Turns out that they're done with spring break - just not the rest of the country! Pair that with Easter weekend and it's a serious crowd. The Utah State Park we were aiming for had issued a notice to BLM that they will completely close the park to entry because they will run out of parking spaces. So, we decided to leave our plans behind and head to less crowded dirt road AZ.
