Pacific Crest Trail Map

Epilogue

Just about a year later (9/26/08), I got back on the trail at Rainy Pass to hike to the border and monument 78 along with my good friend Makai. On 9/28/08, we arrived at the Northern Terminus of the PCT. This time around, the weather could not have been nicer. Looking back to the weather I encountered last year ('07) and the terrain I would have had to face, it reconfirmed that I made the correct and prudent decision to get off the trail at Hart's Pass, a mere 31 miles or so shy of the border. It was a good feeling to finally get the last 31 miles complete...now I can sleep at night. What a trail the PCT is....I can't wait to thru-hike it again, but first, next year (2010) I plan on thru-hiking the CDT along with Makai. What an adventure this promises to be! Alas, once you get bit by the long distance hiking bug, there's just no stopping. Happy and safe trails to all. Remember, have fun and make good choices.
