Pacific Crest Trail Map

One Week Left

I'm starting to get scared. I have one week left. The last three nights I've packed and unpacked my bag each evening. I keep thinking of one more small thing to contemplate about bringing. Like 2 spare batteries for my head lamp or 4? It's such a hard decision!!

My pack weighed 14lbs 8 ounces minus my toiletries, spare batteries, and whatever harry potter I'm on. So I'm thinking my base weight will be around 18lbs. Not bad!!!

I'm rereading the harry potters before the last one comes out. I was hoping to have them finished by the time I left but I'm only 1/2 way through #3. So I think I will probably end up with 5 and 6 on the trail. Oh well! They are worth the weight. Snape is Good! And Dumbledore will come back like Gandalf did in the Lord of the Rings.

Well All I have left to do is finish putting my beak on my tent and decide if I want a bigger stuff sack for my tent and then that's it!

I'm mailing off my Kennedy Meadows box today! Woohoo! Well That's it I guess See ya! -April
