Maine Overlook

First Day

Since this will be the first page that shows up when the link is selected, I've edited it for my family and friends.

This is "Postholer", a site that allows me to post directly from my Blackberry without having to use a transcriber to cut and paste my journal entries. I will be able to submit entries when I have a signal, but at times there may be days or even weeks between entries depending on my signal.

There won't be pictures often unless I find a location to post them on the trail, and I don't want to burden anyone with uploading them to this site for me from my SD cards. Once you are on my page, you will see a "Planner" icon in the little box with all of my critical information on the page. Once you click on the Planner icon you will be able to view the locations at which I will be picking up boxes and mail, and the approximate dates I expect to be at these locations. If anything is sent, just use the address information and format on this page.

If you do want to view the pictures I do have available, just click on the picture over to the right of the entry. You will see one in this entry. Once you click on this picture, it will become larger, and there will be 4 other small pictures at the top in circles. Click on any one of these to make it larger also.

If you don't hear from me near the dates in the "Planner", don't worry. Schedules and itineraries tend to change frequently, so all dates "are subject to change." I have a tendency to be a little more spontaneous than not at times.

Finally, I appreciate eveyone's support and kind words. I begin this hike the third week in May, and expect to complete it near the beginning of October.
