San Bernardinos - Tess

Fabulous day today. Tom did tent surgery on my heel - I don't want to know the details, but hiking today was so fine. Climbed all morning - from Gorgonio Pass at 1,195 feet (where we hung out under Interstate 10 overpass two days ago) to a ridge in the San Bernardinos (8,750 feet) today, the 7500 foot difference is our largest northbound climb. Hoo Ahh!!!!

(This, and the next few journal entries include fresh photos just received from Tom and Tess this weekend.

I will attach them in the order the photos were taken. It's not possible to acurately place them with in Tom and Tess's journal entries but I think

you can guess which photos go with which of their entries.) From Ernie
