Okay. So we're not supposed to be here yet. My cold just won't get any better, so we decided to skip a little ahead in the itinerary, and take a couple of days to fill me with sleep and medicine to see if we can make it go away. We'll be here for a couple of nights, and then we'll skip back in the trail to where we left off it this morning.
Hitch-hiking! Never done that before! We were picked up outside of the Paradise Cafe by a nice young man named Gustavo, who spoke very little English, and didn't even know where we were going. He even offered us chicken!
Ticks! Brent removed his first tick last night (he was quite a pro about it too), and then we caught another one on the groundcloth. So now I have a bag o' ticks to carry around, since I got rid of my bag o' hemmorage (the tissues I used to clean myself up after my nosebleed). How come I always have to carry the weird stuff?!
