Departing Hiker Heaven

Tuesday toward Casa de Luna

It was difficult to leave Hike Heaven. Once on the road I was thrilled to have the trail under my feet.
The pungent smell of desert sage was wonderful. I was in and out of many canyons and an overlooking of the receding Bouquet Canyon Reservoir.
I decided to hike until 6 and look for a camping spot. What a stupid decision. When you are traversing canyons and going downhill there are few flat spots. Finally heading down San Francisquita Canyon I found a flat, leaf covered stream bed. It was 7 and I was exhausted. I rehydrated my food and it was all I could do to set up tent, and crawl into my bag.
Trekking on,
Ginny
