Tall shadows on the LA aquaduct

I had intended to really sleep in this morning, but 7AM was all I could manage. I took another shower (ahhh...) before heading downstairs to check out the motel continental breakfast. The breakfast spread was a bit pathetic, but there was nearly a hiker convention, which made it fun. The Waffles were there, and Zoner, Bigfoot, and No Name Steve. It sounds like they are all headed out today. It'll just be me tonight.

I walked around downtown Tehachapi a bit - it's nice. Tehachapi is definitely a train town. Lots of train-related stores and postcards. Tehachapi is also famous for wind energy and a prison. I'm about to head out for a late lunch/early dinner at the Appleshed restaurant. After that, perhaps more napping (life is tough, eh?). I've got all my town chores done and I'm ready to get back on the trail tomorrow.
