Steve conquering California

Oregon!

After almost 3 months, Steve is finally out of California! He and Dad crossed the border into OR yesterday! Hooray for a new state, finally. Way to go Steve!

I got a call from Dad tonight- he and Steve covered about 20 miles yesterday and are both in good spirits. Dad's feet, like mine, are starting to hurt (you'll all be glad to hear that I can almost walk again, by the way). The guys were talking about stopping at a very nice place called the Mt. Ashland Inn tonight. One of the rooms comes with a 2-person hot tub. This type of place would normally be out of Steve's price range, but one of the benefits of hiking with Dad is that all expenses are paid. Nice! I hope they are able to book a room. Tomorrow should take Steve and Dad to Callahan's, which I saw from I-5 several times during my trip out there. There, the guys will pick up a resupply package.
