Getting over the top

Just finished Big Bear to Warnersprings (Hwy2), 105 miles. There is a 21 miles/5250' climb upto Warnersprings. I made it to 19.5 miles/5000', with little daylight and exhausted! The worst part was I misjudged my water! I only have 1/2 liter for the 6 miles tomorrow. You sure do loss a lot of bounce in your step when your dehydrated! I was nearly forced to back track back for resuppy water, Fortunately there was plenty of now to wet the lips and cut the cotten mouth. I think I was getting a little cocky, over the past several days I did 18, 21, 26, 19, 6 miles. The 6 miles without water were the hardest!!!!!

I head to Benton-Powell 9250', lots of snow at 8000' I'm told. Sure hope it is not too icy and steep....

The PCT is 2650 miles of trail from Mexico to Canada where you have to fight through snakes, lions and bears every inch of the way!
