Wind Farm

The wind was ripping through the valley as we headed toward to Mesa Wind Farm. I just don't understand how people live there. The wind was strong enough to knock us off balance but the trail angel said it was only breezy.

We hiked until 1pm and stopped for lunch and because it was so hot. Continued on and got water from White Water River. I dunked my shirt in several times to cool off and Eric went skinny dipping. The water actually was not that cold.

We continued on until reaching Mission Creek. We were about 20 minutes behind Reddy and Silver Fox but could not catch them. We kept crossing from one side to the other of Mission Creek. We hiked until 7:30 and then finally had to make camp and cook dinner.

This was our first night on our own since meeting up with Reddy and Silver Fox.

***Sightings include a fast moving red snake. It flew across the trail. Also, I need help identifing a lizard. About a foot long, fat, and runs real fast. It looks like it lifts some of its legs off the ground when it runs. Any ideas?
