Big Bear Lake

What A View

Have cell service now so will start journal. Have hiked well today with fairly easy trail and currently having lunch overlooking beautiful Big Bear Lake. Been hiking through a lot of single leaf pinyon. It really is beautiful here! Everyone is out in their boats enjoying this amazing day.

Trying to reach Deep Creek Hot Springs tomorrow so we may do a 25 mile day today.

***Easy hiking after lunch and just when we were realizing we hadn't seen Hansel and Gretel in a while, there they were. After a quick chat with them we continued on down the trail to the Little Bear Springs Trail Camp where fixed dinner. At 6pm we headed down the trail for a few more hours and as darkness fell we found a rare flat spot to sleep.

We almost met our goal of 25 but glad we weren't trying to navigate Holcomb Creek in the dark.
