Pacific Crest Trail Map

Well, I have decided to go to Canada and Southbound the trail. I just didn't feel right about missing a big chunk of the trail and having to come back to do what I missed. I am really hoping for a straight thru-hike. Plus the desert is just so hot right now. I have a plane ticket to Canada for the 4th. Hopefully I get to see some of my family while I am up there, so it looks like I will be on the trail somewhere around the 10th.
I am a bit nervous about starting out alone. When you Northbound the trail you run into a lot of people. I know this wont be the case going South. But I have been in touch with a couple of people. One is starting out a week before me and the other is starting out a couple of weeks after me. Hopefully I will run into someone eventually. But if not, I think having the woods to myself might just be one of the most thrilling experiences of my life!

Strange the faithless fuss made about taking a walk in the safest and pleasantest of all places, a wilderness.
