Yes, I finished.

Hey guys! I realized I forgot all about this journal in the desert this year... I was having so much fun the second time that I never bothered to update. I was equally bad updating my blog, so my apologies on that.

I finished happy and temporarily satisfied on September 4th at 9:30PM off a 41 mile day. I had no significant issues between my last entry and my finish. No fires to speak of, no sections I had to skip, nothing. I missed the section O fire that people behind me had to deal with and when I went through the Snoqualmie pass area the fire that later caused a reroute was only 1 acre in size and I walked right through with only a tiny mile long route that put you outside the fire.

My original plan was to hike the CDT in 2010, but that hinged on me getting a job pretty quick after I got back. No such luck, so far. Worst case scenario I'll have to sell my SLR to finance the PCT in 2010! So you never know, I might be out there again.

I miss the trail as usual. Normal life is rough, especially with finding a job as hard as it is. I'm definitely hiking in 2010, but I'm not sure what trail. Maybe the CDT, maybe the PCT.

I made a compilation video of my PCT thru-hike at -- feel free to check it out, it's about 43 minutes long.

Thanks to all my trail friends for the amazing experience. It was even better the second time.
