Leaving Independence

622 Independence to 2 miles past Kearsarge Pass 6 non PCT miles We decided we wanted to leave today. We had an awesome breakfast at the hotel. We got our packages at the post office as soon as it opened at 9:30. We had to sort thru all our new food plus the stuff we sent ourselves from Lone Pine (extra clothes and warmer sleeping bag which I didn't end up using) and get a box ready to mail back home. We then looked at all our pictures but when we were ready to add them to postholer the hotel's internet wasn't working. I added a couple with my phone. It took forever to get all this done so we didn't start hiking until 4. We met up with Jellybean at the trailhead and are now camped with her just over the pass. Love, Why Not
