Day 70- Richardson Lake

The day started out amazing. For most the day heading out of Echo Lake- I hit some of the most GORGEOUS parts of the trail. It's Desolation Wilderness. By the Book, another hiker, passed me in the morning and I didn't see Avo and LL after leaving camp in the morning. As you may know, I'm using Erik the Black's PCT Atlas as my map/guidebook. But there's been problems, and he didn't have the Atlas ready for shipping by the time I left Lake Tahoe...To make a long story short, I was heading out of Lake Tahoe with 10 pages of maps instead of my PCT Atlas (which is a book). I think the pages fell out of my backpack pocket when I grabbed my morning snack. And so...I got lost for a couple of hours and lost my maps. It made for a long day. I ended up not catching LL & Avo, so I slept alone tonight. I'm sure I'll see them tomorrow.
