Pacific Crest Trail Map

The End

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. Here's what happened. I made it to Tuolumne Meadows, but was having foot pain. It felt like there was a folded sock under my foot at all times. Decided to finish the John Muir Trail by hiking down to Yosemite Valley. Got to climb up Half Dome which was great. Then got a bus to Merced and then a train to Bakersfield. Had a doctor look at my foot and found that if I continued to hike I could cause more serious damage. So I'm waiting for custom orthodics and for my foot to stop being painful. Until then it looks like I'm off the trail. Which means I won't be able to complete my thru hike this year. When you add up all the side trips, I hiked about 1000 miles. I had a great time and am glad I had the chance to get as far as I did. Thanks for reading my posts. Maybe some day I'll finish the trail.
