Nice hike today. It really warmed up in the evening but the wind helped cool us down. Breaks in the shady spots, i take my shoes and socks off to let my feet and shoes cool off. We walked a mile down highway 74 to the paradise cafe for burgers and a salad. Now we are camped on national forest behind the restaurant. We plan to be there for breakfast at 8:00 in the morning. Then we hike to a short day to cedar springs with quite a bit of elevation gain. Tuesday we plan to camp at san jacintoe campground in idyllwild, with a zero day Wednesday. I look forward to a shower then. Also this will be the first time that i have hiked above 6684' the height of Mount Mitchell our tallest on the east coast. Thank you Karen "Pog" Sousa for editing my journal and correcting my misspelled words, and the height of Mitchell. Oh and letting me know when my lens is dirty too. This is a tiny keyboard and the screen is small so i cannot tell much about the pictures i am sending. I am taking hundreds of pictures with my 8mp camera and some video too. I plan to make a dvd movie like I have in the past. Got to get to Canada first. Well let me fil in my gps location in the sidebar for the maps. Then I'll turn this thing off and lay down. Greybeard and wizard moved on. Jim, Chris, ORR and I are camped here. X
